If you are looking to start your weekend right with the best of British fare from roasts with trimmings craved in front of you, plum sausages, buttery mushrooms, fish and chips served up live to scrumptious Yorkshire puddings then, The Great British Restaurant, at Dukes Dubai is just the space you should make your way to.
Ambiance: The Best-dressed brunch at GBR, Dukes is a place for suave yet laid back brunching. The live wire dining space can get busy, so a big tip would be to get there early enough to snag a great spot. They have cozy booths to communal tables where you find a mixed crowd of celebratory groups to romantic duo's .There is no nightmare in decoding the dress-code here. You can turn up in casual chic or opt for all dressed up and you will fit in just fine.
Food : British classics in a sophisticated surrounding with live music. The appetizers were just average, the mains were brilliant, but what took the cake was literally the cakes and sweet offerings - all sweet treats in sticky, steamed and baked forms offered here tickled our taste buds .
Signet Rings Seals : Desserts of which the highlights were puddings, scones with clotted cream and cheese cakes. The Live Pims/ bloody Mary counter and G and T trolley was perfect to wash down the grease. The prawn cocktail from the live station was just knock-your-sock off good. What we loved most was that every week a best-dressed guest gets awarded a complimentary nights stay including breakfast. Needless to say we are happy to hit this spot time and again.
